Rondine Motorcycles of Siccomario

A Brief History of the Italian Marque
Manufactured 1951-1954

One of several businesses associated with the use of the Rondine marque, Guido Montagna entered the manufacturing industry with the production of lightbulbs in 1941.

Later he made aluminium brake hubs for MV Agusta in his workshop in San Martino Siccomario (near Pavia) which was well equipped and had an efficient foundry.

In 1951, Montagna designed and built an attractive 125cc named Rondine with the marque G/M on the engine (one letter above the other), available in two versions, Turismo and Super, the sports version having increased finning and more performance.

Production peaked in 1952 by which time it is believed around 250 had been built, but the lack of a sales network and poor financial performance led to a declaration of bankruptcy in April 1954.

Guido Montagna went on to work with OCMA Devil in Bergamo.
